I had to:

– create again the xorg.conf for radeon
– uninstall nouveau drivers
– my system was always trying to load ‚nouveau‘, it was listed in lsmod after reboot even after ‚sudo rmmod nouveau‘. It had to be removed somewhere deeper. I decided to add it to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
